Default Natural Gas Fireplace Insert, need advice

I have a Lennar Home and want to put in a natural gas fireplace insert.

Does anyone have any suggestions on which kind to get?

Any help would be appreciated.

We got ours at barbeque's Galore in Dallas... they have two locations in Houston:

Click here: Barbeques Galore - Store Locator

I don't remember the specific one we got... but I do remember that they had a whole wall of different ones that can be turned on to help you choose.

There's different sets of logs depending on your needs. Some logs hold heat longer and other's are more for show. If you are using your fireplace as an alternative heat source... then get the better logs.

Also... pay just a bit extra for the more realistic logs and flames. You won't regret it.

If I had to do it all over again... I probably would have paid the extra $$ for the auto light. Just for convenience.

definitely BBQs galore
west 1960.

know the size of your fireplace before you get there
as the kits go by size.

The kits include grate, about 12 logs, burner pan, flexible gas line, ambers, sand, lava rocks.
Kits have the best value for the money.
18" start at around $300 up.
All shapes and colors (types of wood)

Nice display there to help you choose.
However, dumb people to answer questions once you're there ( houston texas)
The logs will accumulate a deposit while burning, they sell a spray to clean them.
The deposit and glowing ambers(in the kit) makes your pit look real.

Hey and good luck installing it yourself, especially with bending that gas line.
You'll know what I'm talking about.
Royal pain in the tail!

Have fun.

Don't go to cunningham's in the woodlands.
More expensive, worse display, less choice and sloppy dumb people (still in texas).
Their stock is smaller too, so you might have to wait for a delivery.

Don't go to home depot or lowes, poor quality. but cheaper.
