Question Dependant Care Spending Account...

Hi there,

Anyone else do this?

If so, do you know the process for accessing these funds? Couldn't track it down on myexjet.com

Thanks,

Bob

Don't know but be careful with this one. Its a use it or lose it type deal.

Trust me... I used it.

We've used the DCA and FSA accounts through my wife's work for several years now... and I highly recommend folks using them to reduce their taxable income.

This past year we just put a bit extra in mine in anticipation of our newest family member... and quite frankly... I forgot about it until now.

I looked on myexjet and couldn't find any info on the re-imbursement process... I'll call HR today.

Make sure you save more money using the dependent care spending account as opposed to taking the dependent care tax credit. The number of dependents and your tax bracket will determine that.

All you need to do is go to www.myshps.com and login to your account. It shows your annual elections and the amounts that have been used for all your FSA accounts. All the forms are online and can be printed from pdf once you login.
OR you can call SHPS at 866-362-6993.

Pre Tax = gotta love it. :-)

Anyone having a problem getting funds reimbursed this year?

I've submitted the forms, SHPS shows the request, but is showing that I have contributed $0.00 for the year. XJT, however HAS withheld the funds from my paychecks, and apparently the money hasn't gotten to SHPS yet...??

I'm going to call XJT today and see if I can find someone who knows something about this.

Any other ideas?
