Smile Plantation Homes in The Woodlands

Looking to build a Plantation Home in The Woodlands. Has anyone ever used them before? We are first time builders so we don't know what we have to do as far as contracts ( have a lawyer look it over), price (can you bargin), flood areas, where not to live, schools (2.5 yr old) etc. Thanks D Daulton.

You will find that the schools in the Woodlands (Conroe Independent School District) are rated highly among those in the Houston area. There are several schools for each grade level given the population including 2 high schools....some are exemplary some are not but all meet or exceed expectations.
We have a Pioneer home which is a division of Plantation....didn't build but moved into a new construction spec home. They aren't a custom builder....some things they will skimp on other areas are well beyond similar builders in comparable price ranges. For instance art niches, design features, light fixtures etc were a step up from 2 other builders in our area.
Trying to think of where Plantation is building in The Woodlands now and my best guess is either Creekside or Star Ridge Sterling Ridge area....There are some areas that are pretty far from Town Center/I-45...may or may not matter to you. just do the drive a couple or times to experience it!
Beware that there are some new construction areas that are in Magnolia School District....I don't know the good or the bad there just do your research.
They should have flood plain maps available to view.
