Question Can't View the Advertisements Forum

For some reason I can not see the Ads Forum. I can view all the others but not that one. I also can not see the picture or whatever it is in the "Google Pilot" ads after the first message in each thread. Any thoughts?

Google Pilot says: Make your pilot group proud and contribute to the Captain Anthony Miller memorial fund. We have raised money in the past to help other XJT family members for various different reasons. Captain Millers family could really use our support right now!

Can you see the ads forum and it tells you it is private or what? It sounds like you registered but did not activate your account.

I have tried to look at every page on the board and the only one I can NOT see is the Ads page. When I click on the link from the main page, it opens a new page but the page remains blank. No ExpressJet banner at top, no ad on left, no forum borderes, no messages, nothing.

I remember that you ended up having to manually fix my registration when I orginially sighed up. You might be right about the registration thing.

Thanks

Have you tried logging out and then back in again? Also try clearing the cache in your web browser. It sounds like your browser is showing you an old cached paged, rather than the current version.

Mike...

This sounds like the same problem I have on my Home PC. I explained it in the Break Room under "Missing Fourm". I've cleared out the cache too and still no joy.

But... my laptop is working fine viewing all forums... so it's obviously a computer thing and not a "permissions" issue. I'm still working on it.

Weird! Like you said if it works ok on one machine with your login and doesn't work on another it is a computer issue. If you get it figured out, let us know!

Default One more piece to the puzzle...

Not to stir up a lot of anti-MS slander ... but I tried using Firefox on my computer and I can see the Ads forum. So it is not just a machine specific issue but an IE specific issue. It could even be an add-on or plug-in specific issue. Haven't narrowed it that far.

:-?
