You found a perfect article to make the point that the right is out of ammo to try and win this election. Every single policy or attack they make gets stupider and stupider every day. That website I think was written by Karl Rove himself or maybe Shoot them in the Face Cheney. Vote for who you want but people who actually think in this country and have an education know what each of their plans will do. Here is a link to an real assessment of the tax plans.

I never said that I agreed with the website, or that it held any useful information, only that when I searched for info, that came up, and that when I went directly to the source, no information was available, except for the usual politician BS, But here is a quote directly from one of your articles:

"The law exempts profits from the sale of a primary residence up to $250,000 for single owners and $500,000 for married owners. Only home-sales profits exceeding those values would be affected by Obama's proposal."

Who do you think this affects? One of my father's houses is for sale right now for well over 250,000, and he is by no means the wealthy elite that Obama is talking about, just smart with his money, he works hard, and he makes good decisions. I cannot say the same for 90% of the people I meet.
I am selling my 3rd house, trying to move up in the world, and it won't be long before I am selling a house valued at over the 250K mark.
So yes, this affects me, and anyone else who knows how to manage their money. It's time for the US to get away from the socialist movement and take some responsibility. We need to reward work, and punish the slackers. You don't want to work? Guess what? you don't get to eat, and you starve. You want everyone else to pay for your bastard children while you sit on welfare? sorry, no more.

One simple question to ask yourself:

Guys, your all missing something. Even if you take it at its face value, this is his plan NOW...... but he's promised more than he can pay for, so YOU decide if it will have to change and go higher.

Want numbers, here you go roughly....

We had a budget deficit of $407 billion last year as a starting point. He has promised $287 BILLION in new programs!!!! (I linked it before and if you want, I'll do it again)

The war.............................. $100 billion.
Bush tax cut repeal.............. $ 80 billion.
The CURRENT Obama plan.... $131 bilion. (The Tax Foundation - Hard Numbers on Obama’s Redistribution Plan)

So a total of $310 billion, wwhich leaves us about $377 billion short. HOWS HE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT?

Real easy..... the vague term "rich" will be redefined to include many more people and up the taxes more than currently stated.

You can add in even more than that..... when taxes are cut, tax revenue actually GOES UP since the companies have more money to help spurn profits and therefore more profits to tax.

United States federal budget - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bush tax cuts lowered taxes, the economy was supposedly sooooo bad, but tax revenue went UP. So what happens when Obama adds $131 billion in new ADDITIONAL taxes? Well, the $131 will certainly be lowered by the negative effect that will happen when those additional taxes have the reverse effect, which means he will be short even more...... way more. Cutting taxes works, but you can't outspend the enhanced revenue as Pres. Bush has.... you need to cut. McCain says he'll CUT, but Obama DOES NOT...... even though his budget doesn't add up, so you decide who being honest and who is niave now.

Let me add in one other thing......Obama was in national politcs for 143 DAYS before he announced he wanted to be the LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD. McCain was in the Navy for 22 YEARS and Senate 26 YEARS for a total of 48 YEARS..... or, in other words for every FULL 365 day YEAR McCain has of federal government service, Obama had ONLY 3 DAYS before he announced his candidacy....thats rough 100 TIMES more...... but he's got ALL the answers, yet many of you DONT attempt to try and ATLEAST VERIFY what this political rookie says he'll do... you'll take the style he undoubtedly has over and verifiable substance and hand it over to a guy almost literally on JUST WORDS since he has very little else of a track record to reference.

"McSame"... only if your not paying attention.... last I checked McCain has had MANY a tiff with Republicans about bipartisan work..... so how can it be the "SAME?" Nice try though.

Just because McSame has more experience doesnt mean he is good.... look at Rumsfeld and Cheney very experienced in politics..very BAD in policy making.

As far as revenue being up, it may be right now but in the coming months you will see if fall of sharply. People have lost homes and the jobs that supply revenue to pay for those homes and so forth. It like in the state of AZ where I'm from, they are in a Billion dollar short fall this year due to the stated uboce reasons.

I would hate to pay more to the Govt, but someone his going to have to pay for bush and his **** ups, and all the money we just borrowed from China not once but twice. Someone better get this country thinking on the right path sometime soon or we are all fucked.
Everyone better start brushing up on the Chinese language becuase if we are not careful we will all be speaking it!

The Vietnam era military officers were the next generation older than mine. I don't care what you blab about who's going to pay what taxes in which century. When I talk with one of those guys now, this is what I see in my mind's eye.

Too old to think clear enough to command an airliner makes them just right to be Commander In Chief?

If that's who you thing can best execute the policies needed to preserve the wealth and traditions of this country... well.... hopefully your level of future satisfaction meets your level of present expectation. I think you're being fooled. Again.
