Default Honor Guard needed for funeral

I posted this on another thread. I wanted all the Express folks to know about this. Please West Coasters try and ease Dana's families sadness! This is a very sad day for them! I know he was a current CAL pilot. But - he was a former Express guy. And - he was family. A pilot! Come on folks......

If anybody has a personal story to share about Dana - please post them here. I will print them out and send them to Dana's family. They need that much.

I am copying 2 posts from another site for all of you to read. I don't know how to quote it. I hope this comes out right......

I regerttfully inform you that F/O Marleaux recently passed away in LAS.

Below is the information for his funeral on Thursday July 17th. Please let me know if you are able to attend so that we can have an honor guard present for the services. I am in Utah right now about to drive a Jeep back to New Jersey so I will be out of contact at times. If you cannot get in touch with me, please contact IAH B-756 F/O David Mather- 626-449-9686- as he will probably be the team lead for this situation.

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

Mark R. Benton
Honor Guard

Church and Internment services for Dana E Marleaux will be held Thursday, 17 July 2008 at:

Forest Lawn Memorial Park
1712 South Glendale Avenue
Glendale, California 91205

Church Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM in the Little Church of Flowers followed by motorcade (within the Park) to Grave Side Services on Memorial Slope.

Donations to the American Cancer Society would be welcome in lieu of flowers.

There will be a reception immediately following at Mimi's Cafe nearby.

We really need to help out Danas family. They have requested that we be there as an honor guard. Dana was a remarkable person who was the definition of "a great guy". If any of you West Coast people can help I know that it would mean an enormous amount to Danas family. Danas loss is a loss to us all. There is so much more that I could say but I write this with a very heavy heart as we mourn the loss of a good friend.

Hopefully we can once again show what Calforums members and Continental Pilots can do!

If anyone can help please don't hesitate to call me anytime at 626 449 9686

Can you post a pic? The name rings a bell but I need a face to put with it.

I flew with Dana on several occasions some years ago...always a stand up guy, great person.
My thoughts go out to his family.
Does anyone know what happened? He was always fitness concious and relative young age, definitely a shock to hear.

Said something about American Cancer Society so I am pretty sure it was cancer

Well, it wasn't cancer. Email ALPA if you want to know what happened. I looked on google and didn't find anything so out of respect for the family, I won't post anymore.
