Default Larger Aircraft and our Future!

We should already have larger aircraft but I know we can't change the past, however, we need to somehow secure some larger aircraft for our future! CRJ 900, EMB 170-195's? These aircraft are efficient and are the future of the regionals. An industry down turn can be a great time to acquire aircraft. We have at least 190 fifty seaters flying for the next 7 years which is great but we still need to think long term!

To fly for whom? I think XJT missed the boat on that. Other regionals jumped on the larger RJ market when it was still new and have established themselves by now, while XJT was tied to 50-seaters and CAL exclusively. Opportunity lost.

It's amazing how much easier it is for a team to work together when no one has any idea where they're going.

Just because you're necessary doesn't mean you're important.

Republic can't find flying for 15 of their E170s and we should go out and get larger aircraft??
We really did miss the boat on larger aircraft, but there will always be a need for 50-seat jet feed, fuel prices notwithstanding. We made our bed and now must lie in it, so let's make the best of it and f*ck.

You can thank CAL for the current business model, I asked GS and JR about this in 2004, their answer, CAL wants us to focus on then 100 % and stay with 50 seaters.

Default Trix

Silly Rabbit - Trix are for Kids!

therefore
I meant (Silly Rabbit) - Large airplanes are for "Big" seniority lists!

Do you want to fly a 120+ seat "RJ" the rest of your life AT "RJ" pay?!?!?

THEY WOULD CALL A 747 AN "RJ" IF THEY COULD GET AWAY WITH IT!!!! (At 1/2 pay I might add... Hey it says "Express" on the tail!, right?)

Or do you NEED to fly that Shiny Jet?!

Are you serious? 70 and 84 seaters are not the future of the regionals. The future of the 84 seaters is that the mainlines will take them back - because it's either that or their jobs. At the very least, we HOPE they take them back. To hope that we get huge RJ's is totally ignorant of what is best for you in the long-run.
