Add another to the list this week of furlough announcements, Comair is said to be furloughing 160 in September with more possible after delta announces the final schedule numbers. Not good.

I just heard the same as well. Major reductions in JFK, CA downgrades, reduction in block hours, 12 aircraft parked in Sept, and the Mesa Replacement Deal is off until end of 08-early 09 whenever the courts make their decision.

So much for the Comair/ASA hiring blitz mentioned a week ago or so... Guess it's just Compass that's hiring now.
