Why anyone would wish for there to be more "more-qualified than you" pilots on the street and in the job market is beyond me. You may not like certain individuals, but I would personally rather have them employed somewhere I haven't applied to (or have applied to for that matter,) than furloughed and actively competing for a job I do want.

"Kids" is right; hope you really really enjoy being a regional pilot, it's gonna be a while. (Lifers...don't read that to mean I think there is anything wrong with being a regional pilot for the duration of a career.)
