Excellent! I wonder where I'll fall on the combined seniority list!

Real response: I'll believe it when I see it.

I just heard that my friend's friends' brother's sister's baby's momma said that XJT flies 50 seat jets called Embraer's. I know, I know, it's all the rage.

Thumbs up

ha ha how is it a done deal when it has to be voted on by the pilot group?

I assure you in the meeting the MEC had with Jerry Atkins the MEC informed him that his proposal would never pass a vote by our pilot group. This came from a Union Rep I spoke with yesterday. Skywest will not make another counter offer for our company knowing that what they want will never happen. We are now going to continue with the plans set fourth by our management. This I'm sure will be confirmed with a blast mail either later today or at the conclusion of tomorrows meeting! Don't believe all this bull$hit you read on the pipe. If you have questions you should call your Union Rep. Thats what they are here for. So people don't get misguided information or just peoples opinions but the FACTS!

Cheers!

I'm not so sure about that. It appears that the sticking point in the transaction is our scope clause in our contract, basically that SKWY wants it gone.

Whether or not SKWY and XJT management want to wait on the result of a possible pilot vote is not clear and doesn't directly trigger the purchase or backing away from the deal. Obviously it would be easier for SKWY to proceed knowing that the pilots are in favor of their proposals, but to say that they couldn't purchase XJT without our "scope vote" appears inaccurate. Could another possible outcome be that they purchase XJT without a vote taking place, then we vote "no" to a change in our contract...Obviously not the best outcome for SKWY, but at that point they're already in the door.
