Default Scheduling

Just a dumb question I have...can't seem to find it in my contract. But if a line holder was unable to bid in the October bid due to training, but is reassigned back to line flying for the remaining days of the month, what is scheduliong allowed to assign that pilot? Can they just slap any trips in open time on that pilots schedule? Is there some kinda protocol? Or can the company just put like say a 3 day trip on the pilot's schedule then turn around and place a day trip on the pilots schedule for the next day? Any takers on this one?

Section 21.F.3.b

b. When a pilot has completed training but is not eligible to bid in
accordance with the bidding provisions above, or the training is cancelled
in accordance with Section 9, Filling of Vacancies, the following will
apply:

i. A pilot’s seniority within his domicile and status will determine
whether he is a lineholder or a reserve pilot. A pilot will be
considered a lineholder after completing training if he has
sufficient seniority to hold a relief line within his current domicile
and status;

ii. If the pilot is a lineholder, the Company will construct a line for
the pilot using trips and/or RA days, if necessary. The minimum
days off for this line will be determined using his seniority in the
bid packet;

iii. The Company

So, yes, the Company can build a schedule for you with any mix of trips they desire, as long as they give you the days off that your seniority can hold.

Thanks, I was able to speak with someone about it. No way now that I can get the days off that my senority holds. Just have to roll with the punches for now I guess
