Unless my dns hasn't picked up the domain name yet, that link does not work.

ok... it works now. http://www.millerg4686.com

Below was taken from the Calforums:

"I just talked to captain Jim Foster who is our point man for our Honor Guard at Captain Miller's funeral. Jim is using personal vacation days to do this and he is at the viewing tonight.

As I write this we have five pilots present at the viewing tonight. As you walk through the door the first person you see is one of our pilots in full uniform at the "sign in" table helping folks sign in. When the mourners walk into the next room that contains the casket they see two pilots in full uniform and white gloves with hats tucked under their left arm guarding the casket at both the head and foot of the casket. They stand there in total silence and they are replaced every 20 minutes. I have been told that captain Miller's wife was totally overwhelmed by this sign of respect for her husband who was buried in his uniform.

I am very proud of those pilots who were able to help us out and every single one of them did this on their day off. That is what puts the "Honor" in our Honor Guard. Thank you again to those who volunteered to fly in and participate. "

Very nice.

over $900 now... they got 5 people to donate through that website already. That was a great idea. I think the flyers in the crew room would be good too.

Thanks to everyone who came to the funeral. We had about 16 pilots. Two were TSA, one was Pinnacle, and the rest were XJET. All of us worked with Tony and most of us went to Parks College with him. Before the funeral we were standing outside together chatting and the widow's father came up to us, put his arms around us and told us he had no idea that pilots were such a unified group of brothers and sisters and that us being there meant more than we knew to Jen and the family. I'm proud of us, and happy that we were able to bring some comfort to the family in this tragic time. To those who couldn't make it, thanks for your contributions and prayers. Thanks again. I'm proud of all of us.

At the Wake we were also told by multiple members of Tony's family (especially his Dad) how much they appreciated us being there. A few times his Dad told me "you guys are an example for all unions everywhere." Tony was a 4th generation of union worker in his family and it ment alot to them. At the wake we ended up having 6 Express pilots, 2 TSA, and 2 Pinnicale.

Being friends with Tony this is one of the hardest things I've done in a while, but like Matt said it was nice knowing we brought some comfort to the family.
