I live in Austin (actually Round Rock). It's a great place. There is actually some culture in this town. About a dozen flights a day between AUS and IAH, and it's only about 2 to 2-1/2 hr drive if you have to. The schools are pretty good in Austin as well. Centrally located and lots to do.
