Spectroscopy is often used in physical and analytical chemistry for the identification of substances through the spectrum emitted from them or absorbed in them. A device for recording a spectrum is a spectrometer. Spectroscopy can be classified according to the physical quantity which is measured or calculated or the measurement process.

On topic though, I had a captain pull out a Bible in flight in order to "school" me on why I was wrong. I have yet to encounter a non-Christian who felt it necessarily to take time to point out the error in my ways. Oddly, the captain didn't even fully know where I stood on faith, he only knew that my belief was different than his.

Considering Faith is a rather personal matter/belief I find it ironic that some feel it's their duty to involve themselves in someone else's personal beliefs. It's no different than having a preference for chocolate vs. vanilla ice cream but get a scornful eye/comment from others who believe differently. Faith, no matter what you believe, addresses how you see the world. Unless you can step inside the eyes of others you have no ability to chose, judge or even comment in my opinion on the path that someone has chosen.

Ones faith empowers the individual, not the faith of others. Of course others have tried the faith en mass but that ended in a Blue Kool Aid love fest.
