If you ask as many questions in the interview and/or ground school as you do here, they are going to make it very tough on you.
Yes you can commute from anywhere. You will upgrade for captain when your seniorty number comes up. You will get hired when you get an interview and know your stuff. There's no secret hand shake or good boys club.

Hey man,
I just asked a few simple questions about QOL at the company, commuting, etc.... Isn't what this board is for? I'd definately like to know as much as possible about a company that I am really interested in before I leave my current position......

As a flight instructor? Hmmm. . . a tough choice made more difficult by this revenue environment. Perhaps you should stick it out at Uncle Bobo's Air Taxi and Instruction Unlimited. Good to see you're thinking about your career. Don't let these short sighted assholes bother you.

Well, I'm in a little different situation. I'm currently flying 121 for another carrier that is not looking so good right now. So, in consequence I've been keeping my eyes open for other opportunity. And, I've found Xjt as a company I'd like to be part of.
Kinda clear things up?
