The burden of proof IS on us (Christians). the three options:
- use the scientific method of evidence and logic to prove god exists.
- abandon logic and accept blind faith. this is respectable, but requires you to (for the purpose of this logical debate) admit that
- you can't prove god exists, and therefore
- you can't claim to have no doubt that god exists.
- ignore all this and post more endless details about the gaps in science, which proves nothing.
these do nothing for anyone. The simple fact that this "debate" about whether or not God exsists should be enough to prove that God does, in fact, exsist. Think about this for a second. Why would anything made by compelete random chance, that has "for milliions and millions of years" not needed a god, suddenly be looking for a god or denying the exsistence of a god? Logically, that is impossible. We are searching for God because we have been depraved of God through sin. God does not work according to our rules. Therefore, we will never be able to understand Him. He does not do things logically. Therefore, we will never be able to understand His mysteries. He does things that we can not even understand. We are naturally rebellious towards God because every single person in this world is a sinner, and turns their back on God. We cant even follow His simple commandments. And because of that, we are seperated from knowing and seeing God. However, through Christ, who was put upon a Cross to bear the sin of the world, by His death and resurrection, we have been saved. I can only hope that atleast one person reading this will have his entire life invaded by God. God does have a plan. It is His plan. Not mine or yours or ours. His plan will not be influenced by us. The Bible shows His plan from start to finish. God is salvation. He is no scapegoat. He is not a copilot. He doesnt care about an airline or an airport or anything else except that you (everyone) just acknowledge Him and believe and trust in Him.
