I don't know if you're stating what you think a religious person thinks about an atheist, or if you really feel this way... but either way, I've got plenty of meaning in my life (and I too am an atheist) - it's just not predicated upon a magical being in the sky or a millennia-years old book. If you are saying that we were not 'put' here for a 'purpose' - then I totally agree with you. But don't tell me I don't have any meaning in my life... it's up to all of us to make our own meanings.

You are right in your thinking. I did not mean that we atheist have no meaning in life. I meant there is no supernatural reason in life to live a certain way. I just live my life to the best I can to help the most amount for the greater good. I do not need religion or some fairy tale book to live a good life. We are just here by chance so make the best of what you have for your very short time in relation to the history of earth.
