That man has perfectly summarized my TWO 8 month deployments to Iraq in a TIMELESS editorial.
For this I give him a useless award that is several levels below that of which he expected, and an unpaid taxi voucher to the nearest consolidated quarters (that incidentally has "no space available" just in case the reserve unit needs an extra ten rooms this holiday weekend). CNA's not authorized - but the nearest hotel accepts the GTC.
Another taxi..... another pay claim (denied by your TCN Finance Offier holding a GS equivalent rating above 14). Private, you knew all this before you joined... your fault. No one likes a whiner, suck it up, drive on, and hu-raugh.
