Realistically tho... I did have 12 my first year, but know of several other guys that only had 1 or two, and were NEVER contacted by the company for anything to do with lack of FO reports, one of those guys is coming up on 3rd year pay now. I don't have my contract in front of me, but there isn't really a lot the company can do if you do not get the FO reports. That said, I think its still worth the effort to get them just in case you are the rare one they try to bend over the table over the whole thing. As a reserve I had a hard time getting reports, it was always 1 or 2 legs with a captain, rarely more then that. I probably had 2 captains do a report out of the 25 that said they would. Had to be aggressive about it sometimes dropping reminders in V-files. Best bet was to try and get it done during a long sit on day 4 or something. Once I had a relief line it was much easier to finish out my reports. Careful who you ask, there are a couple of captains that no matter how well you fly feel that they must mark you down on something, and the CPO will want to know why.
