I always have to half laugh when I see comments about the "typical" pax on SWA. Making such an ignorant statement is simply refusing to believe certain facts. The people who fly on SWA do not do so simply because it is cheaper, it is because it is BETTER. The legacy carriers do not care about passengers and have not for sometime. SWA does and they do a great job. Bubba sitting next to you maybe in a NASCAR shirt and blue jean cutoff's..but he may be the CEO of some company. And you will see the SAME Bubba sitting on any other carrier. You laugh at their customers while the company makes millions and the legacy carriers are dying a slow death? Interesting. Domestically, I would rather fly on SWA than ANY legacy carrier. The airplanes are cleaner, the people are nicer and they are on time! The same things are lost on the legacy carriers.
As for the rich....you will NOT see them on a SWA or any other airline. Most MAKE money during these economic times and do no want to subject themselves to the $hit service and security at the airport and from the airlines. NetJets, Citation Shares, and Flex Jet are all growing.....why is that?
Glad to hear SWA is hiring....great company with a great business model.
