I don't know when you got hired..but the real truth about the MCD was not that the company didn't want to pay us by the contract...it was that they didn't realize that the computer system was to complex to set up to resolve the issue.....so they offered various (i.e. LOA 6, 6.1 and 6.2) to resolve it in another manner. But since soooo many pilots decided to stick to their guns....you now get 23min extra pay instead of 30.
Moral of the story....be careful what you ask for.
And SKYW would be taking a huge chance by trying to outright ignore the CBA.
