Lets get this straight, SkyWest DOES NOT need the pilots approval to buy XJT.

They can buy the company and like someone else said put the XJT seniority list wherever they want to and if XJTALPA doesn't like it they will go to arbitration.

I think that this is a good possibility if SkyWest really wants to get their hands on XJT. If you look at past situations that ended up like this it seems to always work out in favor of the purchasing airline. (USAir/AmWest-TWA/AA) SkyWest shouldn't have much of a problem proving that XJT would have been out of business if they didn't come in and save the company thus all the pilots would have been on the bottom of the list or without jobs anyway.

To me it looks like the best option would be to agree to the SkyWest terms and let the sale go through. From what I can see either way the same number of new pilots will go.
Lets say XJT magically is able to stay in business as an independent company, to make this happen branded will still have to go and with it the pilots. This is the same amount of pilots gone if you agree to the SkyWest deal. BUT now you will also loose more pilots when CO pulls the next 51 and the rest will loose their jobs when CO is done using XJT in 2012 (2012 right??)

Now if the SkyWest deal goes through of course the most Jr pilots are gone but that would have happened anyways. The pilots that are left know that for the next 10yrs they will have a 205 plane CPA with CO.

Sounds like an easy choice to me!
