On November 24, 2004, Captain Greg Sauter’s then four-year-old son, Nicky, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Nicky is 7½ years old and completed treatment July 15, 2007. Those two and half years Nicky spent on treatment were difficult and long. It was during this time that Greg and his wife, Missy, created Nicky’s Journey. Nicky‘s Journey is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and provides a portable DVD player with case and a $30 Wal-Mart gift card to purchase new movies to children newly diagnosed with cancer.
Nicky’s Journey is having its first fundraiser of 2008 and can use YOUR help!! Here is a list of the prizes being raffled:
1st Prize - 4 Astros Baseball Tickets, June 10, 2008 – Astros v. Brewers Field Box - Section 106
2nd Prize – RCA 22” LCD/DVD, Combo HDTV
3rd Prize – Kodak Easy Share Digital Camera with Printer Dock
4th Prize – Photo Session with, SIA Photography
5th Prize – Spa basket from Biogime
6th Prize – Philips 7” Portable DVD Player.
Tickets are $2.00 each, 3 tickets for $5.00 or 12 tickets for $20.00.
