You have won ....this is the answer. People will argue this for eternity, much like in personal finance...but the reality is those with no debt.... are always able to ride the variable cost "waves" aviation has always incurred.
The funny thing.....while it works for Southwest...I wonder why they are the ONLY company who believes in this philosophy.

ps. reference the USA Today Money Section article a couple weeks ago. Southwest makes >400million when gas is anywhere between $70-150 . (or something close)
