Someone should also inform them that at the point your paycheck deductions stop, your medical insurance payment is no longer paid by automatic deduction and HR does nothing to tell you/remind you about that. I have spoken with people who first learn they need to manually send medical insurance payments because they get a notice of termination from the insurer a month or two after your regular paychecks/deductions stop. Help and guidance about any of this stuff (from the company) is at least one thing that seriously sucks here.
