I do agree its just a commercial. However, the reason why my blood pressure is up, along with perhaps a few others is because Bryce is sending a VERY bad message to every pseudo traveler in this country. What I got out of that thing was....we had a 3 hr delay...I looked at my iphone, the wx looked ok, called dispatch and waaa laaaa 3 hr delay over. Now every Tom, Dick, and Harry is going to be really wondering why we CAN'T work miracles like the the second coming of hodini (sp?), Bryce over here. When was the last time you could ever change a 3 hr delay by looking at the radar??? Are you kidding me? There is a definite problem with airspace and congestion in this country and if it ever is going to change it is going to take the general publics awareness of what REALLY creates 3 hr delays and WHY they are there. We aren't going to be winning any battles if people think we control our fate with this stuff. Yes, just a commericial, and I know some people who travel a lot hopefully won't bite, but I am sure coming to a ground stopped station near you will be "Joe-4-Times-A-Year-Passenger" sticking his iphone in your face. I'm not a frequent ranter on this thing, maybe the fresh wounds of this weekends a-- kicking in and out of EWR make this commericial a little more difficult to stomach. But Bryce, buddy, come on man throw me a bone here. Does anyone know if the FAA has a share in apple or did they just throw them so money to make this commericial?? Oh yeh, I went there. Giggidy.
