Good point Yariv. Actually, great point Yariv.
With respect to a lot of religious people, many dont feel a need to ignore knowledge or compete with scientific discoveries. Many religious people are able to do just what you describe
coexist.
Spirituality needs to fit in the space left by science and there is space. I certainly don't believe science will ever be able to answer the big "whys?" Why are we here? Why do we live? Why do we die?
Most nonreligious people have no problem with religion trying to give insight into the big whys? Just leave the big "hows" up to science.
